Terms of Service
Effective August 28, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Milepost Athletics (the "Service"), operated by Miles Victors. By creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. What Milepost Athletics is
Milepost is a coaching platform for runners, offering a rules-based static training program (one-time purchase), a Group coaching subscription, and an Individual coaching subscription with 1:1 coach-adjusted plans. Features, pricing, and availability may change over time.
3. Not medical advice
Milepost Athletics, its training plans, and its coaching do not constitute medical advice. Our coaching is grounded in UESCA (Ultra/Endurance Sports Coaches Association) certification standards, but a running coach — certified or not — is not a physician. Talk to a doctor before starting any new exercise program, especially if you have an existing health condition, are pregnant, or have been advised against strenuous exercise. Running and endurance training carry inherent physical risk, including injury; you assume that risk by using the Service. If something hurts, stop and get it checked out — don't push through pain because a plan says to.
4. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away at the contact below if you think your account has been compromised.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
Subscription and one-time program payments are processed securely by Stripe, on the terms shown to you at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; you can cancel any time from Settings, and you'll keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for. A one-time program purchase is yours to keep regardless of subscription status. We don't store your card details ourselves.
6. Your coach
Coaching under the Group and Individual tiers is provided by a UESCA-certified coach through the app. Your coach reviews your data, adjusts your plan, and communicates with you through Milepost's messaging features. Coaching is scoped to training guidance, not diagnosis, treatment, or nutrition prescription requiring a licensed specialist — see Section 3.
7. Strava integration
Connecting your Strava account is optional and can be turned on or off at any time in Settings. Strava integration is also governed by Strava's own Terms of Service, which apply to your Strava account independently of these terms. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what Strava data we access and how it's used.
8. Your content and conduct
You're responsible for what you post in messages, group chat, and your profile. Keep it respectful — no harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior toward your coach or fellow athletes. We can remove content or suspend accounts that violate this.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its training methodology, software, and content (articles, program structures, and similar materials), belongs to Milepost Athletics. Your own content — your messages, your uploaded photo, your logged activity data — remains yours; you grant us the license needed to store and display it back to you (and, per the Privacy Policy, to your coach and group) as part of operating the Service.
10. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers — Stripe for payments, Supabase for data storage, Strava for activity syncing (if connected), Resend for email, and Vercel for hosting. We're not responsible for outages or issues originating from those providers, though we'll do our best to work around them.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Milepost Athletics and Miles Victors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any injury sustained while following a training plan (see Section 3). Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
12. Termination
You can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
13. Governing law
[Placeholder — Miles: fill in your state/jurisdiction here once confirmed.] These terms are governed by the laws of that jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let you know directly. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
